North Korean leader Kim Jong Un observed the test-firing of five missiles from the naval destroyer 'Choe Hyon Ho' on the 12th. The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported that the test-firing was conducted to inspect and improve the vessel's weapons integration and command system, as well as to confirm the accuracy and target-hitting capability of an enhanced active jamming-resistant navigation system. A total of five missiles were launched: two strategic cruise missiles and three anti-ship missiles. According to KCNA, the strategic cruise missiles flew for approximately 2 hours and 11 minutes, while the anti-ship missiles flew for about 32 minutes before striking their targets.

Chairman Kim also engaged in future naval power development, receiving a report on the proposed weapon system configurations for destroyers No. 3 and No. 4, which are currently under construction.

Kim Jong Un assessed that the military's strategic readiness has been strengthened through achievements in the defense science sector, directing efforts to expand nuclear war deterrence and enhance strategic and tactical strike capabilities as key tasks.
