LG, LSEG, Kiwoom Securities Partner on Financial AI Services

LG AI Research, LSEG, and Kiwoom Securities will collaborate to develop and provide the latest artificial intelligence (AI) financial assistant services for individual investors. The three organizations have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for this purpose. This collaboration aims to enhance retail AI investment insights by providing stock-specific predictive scores and explanations in a format that individual investors can easily understand, and to jointly discover asset management specialized services by combining AI and data platform capabilities. In particular, it is expected to be the first commercialization case in Korea of an 'Explainable AI Investing' service targeting individual investors.

LG AI Research will implement this service using 'EXAONE-BI (EXAONE-Business Intelligence)', a financial AI agent that answers the question 'Why?'. 'EXAONE-BI' features the latest technology where four AI agents collaborate to analyze vast amounts of data and even provide the basis for their judgments. LG AI Research, together with LSEG, has been building its AI-based financial service capabilities by selling a data product called 'AEFS (AI-Powered Equity Forecast Score)' to investors worldwide since early this year.

Um Joo-sung, CEO of Kiwoom Securities, stated that the goal is to create an environment where individual investors can make investment decisions more easily by combining AI technology and global data. Nicolas Falmagne, LSEG Global Head of Sales, noted that LG's 'EXAONE-BI' differs from existing services by providing both predictions and explanations, and through the partnership with Kiwoom Securities, they will offer Korean retail investors a more transparent and understandable AI investment experience. Im Woo-hyung, Head of LG AI Research, commented that explainability and reliability are as important as accuracy for financial AI agents, and it is significant that 'EXAONE-BI' is evolving into a practical AI agent that assists human judgment.
