Constitutional Court Senior Researcher Disciplined for Repeatedly Demanding Contact, Meetings with Female Colleague
A senior researcher at the Constitutional Court has been disciplined on charges of privately contacting a female researcher for several months and demanding meetings. The disciplinary resolution for the case involving Senior Researcher A was recently finalized, and the results are expected to be communicated to the individuals involved next week. The Constitutional Court stated that follow-up personnel actions would be taken immediately upon the release of the disciplinary outcomes.
It was confirmed that Senior Researcher A was promoted before the disciplinary proceedings were initiated. The Constitutional Court explained that the personnel appointment was made before the disciplinary proceedings began, and at the time, it was difficult to take personnel action based solely on the report, so action was taken after following formal procedures.
Earlier, Senior Researcher B at the Constitutional Court faced allegations of molestation, including inappropriate physical contact with female researchers, while intoxicated at an internal workshop approximately three years ago. The Constitutional Court clarified that the decision regarding Researcher B's personnel appointment was made after hearing the opinions of all victims.
