Democratic Party Seals Pact with Daegu for Joint Local Election Victory

The Democratic Party's Jeonnam chapter has joined forces with the Daegu Metropolitan chapter, aiming for a joint victory in the June local elections. The agreement ceremony was held under the theme 'One Democratic Party, Joint Agreement for the Success of the Lee Jae-myung Administration.'

The agreement is intended to serve as a starting point for joint action to build a foundation for win-win cooperation and integration between the Yeongnam and Honam regions, and to realize the vision of national integration and balanced development proposed by President Lee Jae-myung. At the agreement ceremony, Kim Won-i, Chairman of the Jeonnam chapter, stated, 'It is time for the Yeongnam and Honam regions to join hands and shape the future of Korea.' He added, 'Through this agreement, we will overcome regionalism and lead an overwhelming victory in the local elections as a united Democratic Party.'

Following the ceremony, Chairman Kim Won-i visited the campaign office of Kim Boo-kyum, a preliminary candidate for Daegu mayor, to convey his support and encouragement, emphasizing solidarity and cooperation. Following the agreement with the Daegu Metropolitan chapter, the Jeonnam chapter plans to visit the Gyeongnam chapter, Gyeongbuk chapter, and Ulsan chapter on the 26th and 27th to establish a nationwide cooperation system and strengthen unity.
