People Power Party Finalizes Candidates for Key Constituencies Including Asan-B, Ansan-A

The People Power Party's Nomination Management Committee on the 22nd nominated Kim Minkyeong for Asan-B in South Chungcheong Province, Kim Seokhun for Ansan-A in Gyeonggi Province, and Oh Jiseong for Gunsan-Gimje-Buan-A in North Jeolla Province. These nomination decisions are part of the process to finalize candidates for the June 3rd local elections and parliamentary by-elections. The committee announced the details at the party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul.

Regarding the sole nomination of former committee member Lee Jung-hyun as the candidate for the integrated special city of Jeonnam-Gwangju, People Power Party Central Nomination Committee Chairman Park Deok-heum stated, "Based on his extensive national governance experience and broad political acumen, he is the most suitable candidate with the experience and capabilities to successfully lead the transformation and leap forward of the newly established special city."

In addition, the committee solely nominated Yang Jeong-moo for the North Jeolla Special Province Governor, Lee Nam-hyeong for the Gwanak District Mayor of Seoul, and Cha Hwa-yeol for the Pyeongtaek Mayor of Gyeonggi Province. The nomination for the Pyeongtaek parliamentary by-election in Gyeonggi Province has been postponed for further discussion.
