Sands Lab Unveils AI-Powered Solution to Aid Threat Detection and Response

Sands Lab unveiled on the 22nd 'MNX,' an agent-based, AI-powered NDR solution that integrates cyber threat intelligence and account breach notification services.

As the importance of early anomaly detection and rapid infiltration path identification systems grows amidst increasing encrypted traffic and sophisticated AI-based attacks, efficient provision of analytical information, rather than just detection, has become a key competitive differentiator.

MNX supports security operators in making swift judgments by combining AI-based anomaly detection, file analysis, attack flow tracking, and automated Playbook integration. It is structured to interpret threats based on the entire attack flow, not just individual events. By integrating Sands Lab's cyber threat intelligence service 'CTX' and account information breach notification service 'IDPW,' MNX enhances detection reliability and reduces false positives/negatives. It supports the identification of unknown anomalous patterns or attacker infrastructure through cross-analysis of CTX's real-time threat information and MNX's traffic analysis.

MNX holds a security function verification certificate and provides a foundation for transitioning to quantum-resistant security systems. Sands Lab stated that the solution has accumulated diverse deployment experience in large-scale 10G environments and distributed environments.

Kim Ki-hong, CEO of Sands Lab, emphasized that NDR solutions must evolve beyond simple anomaly detection into operational systems that comprehensively understand distributed networks and translate findings into actionable responses. He added that through the agent-based NDR structure of MNX, integrated with CTX and IDPW, Sands Lab will help customers respond to hacking threats more quickly and accurately.
