Prospective Candidate Yu Eun-hye Raises Allegations of 'Proxy Registration Offers'

The camp of Yu Eun-hye, a prospective candidate for Gyeonggi Provincial Superintendent, has filed an objection with the Gyeonggi Education Innovation Alliance, raising suspicions of 'proxy registration and payment' during the unification election process for progressive education superintendent candidates.

Yu's camp submitted an objection to the Gyeonggi Education Innovation Alliance on the 23rd, claiming that a specific candidate's side sent out text messages guiding electors on 'remote authentication and payment support' while recruiting them. Article 9 of the Alliance's regulations specifies that electors must pay membership fees under their own names and prohibits proxy payments and group mobilization. Yu's camp stated that their own tests confirmed that third-party intervention was possible and that instances of actual voting had occurred.

Yu's camp has requested the Alliance to investigate the matter and to suspend the confirmation of the unified candidate until the investigation results are released.
