AI Images Unlock New Possibilities for Design Tasks
Artificial intelligence (AI) image generation technology has fully entered the realm of design work, bringing about changes in how tasks are performed. Current AI image generation technology can now accurately render Korean characters like posters, design presentation slides according to user instructions, and generate sequential eight-panel comics while maintaining the consistency of the same character. While AI images were merely a novelty last year, this year they are being utilized as tools to enhance the work efficiency of actual designers and marketers.
The AI image market, which piqued public curiosity last spring with the 'Ghibli style' craze, has now become a battleground for global tech giants. AI image generation has shifted from merely 'drawing prettily' to the perspective of whether it can be 'accurately' used in practical work.
OpenAI, with its 'ChatGPT Image 2.0,' focuses on the 'inference' function that analyzes user needs. It improves upon 'text distortion' issues, accurately rendering text for items like posters and menus, and the 'Thinking Mode' allows for the sequential generation of eight-panel comics featuring the same character.
Google offers its integrated 'Nano Banana 2' within search and the Gemini app for free. Based on Google web search data, it rapidly generates images reflecting real-time trends and supports extreme aspect ratios like 4:1 and 1:4, in addition to 16:9 and 21:9.
Anthropic, through 'Claude Design,' targets the proposal market, creating design outputs for presentation slides and product mock-ups that can be immediately utilized in actual work reports.
As each company possesses different strengths, users are selecting and using AI tools according to their specific objectives.
