Democratic Party South Jeolla Chapter Finalizes Nominees for Yeosu Mayor, Jangseong County Governor

The Democratic Party's South Jeolla Provincial Chapter has confirmed Seo Young-hak as its candidate for Yeosu Mayor and Kim Han-jong for Jangseong County Governor, leading up to the June 3 local elections. The party's South Jeolla Chapter announced this on May 25 following the release of votes from party members and the electoral college.

The primary race for Yeosu Mayor, which had been postponed once due to controversy over the leakage of the party roster, resumed, with Seo Young-hak ultimately defeating Kim Young-gyu in the runoff.

With this announcement, the Democratic Party has effectively concluded the candidate selection process for heads of local government in all 22 cities and counties in South Jeolla Province.
