Sejong Chungnam University Hospital Selected for AI Healthcare System Project

Sejong Chungnam National University Hospital has been selected for the Ministry of Health and Welfare's AI-based medical treatment system support project, securing 700 million won in national funding.

This project is designed to address regional healthcare disparities by establishing AI-driven treatment and operations, with Regional Responsible Healthcare Institutions serving as hubs. The Ministry of Health and Welfare plans to allocate a total of 14.2 billion won to 17 Regional Responsible Healthcare Institutions, including national university hospitals.

Sejong Chungnam University Hospital plans to implement key initiatives such as electrocardiogram and biosignal analysis software, a pneumonia prediction solution, an AI integrated workflow platform for stroke management, cardiac ultrasound image analysis, AI-assisted breast imaging interpretation, AI-driven organ segmentation, and voice-based AI electronic health record services.

Hospital Director Park Jae-hyung stated that the hospital will lead healthcare innovation that local residents can feel by introducing advanced AI technologies into actual clinical settings, thereby enhancing diagnostic precision and operational efficiency.
