Ulsan Livestock Co-op Hanwoo Begins First Exports to UAE

Ulsan Livestock Cooperative's Hanwoo beef is being exported to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) market for the first time. The cooperative held a shipment ceremony on the 28th for the first dispatch of its Hanwoo to the UAE, signaling the start of its foray into the Middle Eastern market. This export marks the first instance of Ulsan Livestock Cooperative Hanwoo expanding its sales channels to the Middle East, following its initial exports to Hong Kong in 2024.

The volume of this UAE export is approximately 218kg, valued at around 20 million Korean won. This achievement is the result of a Hanwoo export promotion mission that included cooperative head Yoon Ju-bo and the Livestock Distribution Department of Nonghyup Economic Holdings, who participated in the UAE Hanwoo Export Pioneer Group from June 15th to 20th, engaging in consultations with local buyers and identifying business partners.

Cooperative head Yoon Ju-bo stated that the successful entry into the UAE market, which adheres to strict Halal standards, for the excellent Hanwoo produced in Ulsan is a testament to the quality competitiveness of Ulsan Livestock Cooperative Hanwoo.
