Kwon Oh-joong Reveals Son with Rare Disease Suffered School Violence

Actor Kwon Oh-joong has revealed that his son, who suffers from a rare disease, was a victim of school violence in the past. This disclosure has once again highlighted the seriousness of school bullying issues.

Kwon Oh-joong’s son was bullied by five students for approximately one year while attending middle school. He suffered physical abuse, including being beaten with sticks, and also sustained a neck injury from broken glass while looking out a window. Kwon Oh-joong stated that a police investigation was conducted following the school violence incident. Some of the perpetrators were transferred to different schools, while others remained at the same school or were only moved to different classes.

Kwon Oh-joong’s son, bearing the scars of both a rare disease and school violence, is currently working as an artist after graduating from college.
