Actor Adam Scott stated that America has "lost much of what was left of its innocence" since former President Donald Trump entered politics. He expressed this thought by particularly questioning whether his beloved comedy-drama 'Parks and Recreation' could have been made after Trump's election.

In an interview with 'Variety', Scott emphasized that 'Parks and Recreation' was a work deeply loved by viewers, adding, "Our country lost a lot of what was left of its innocence when Donald Trump entered the political arena in 2015."

Scott commented on the current changes in American society, explaining that if a show like 'Parks and Recreation' were produced now, its form would inevitably be different. He mentioned that there is a "potential audience" for such sitcoms, citing ABC's sitcom 'Abbott Elementary' as an example.
