Gyeongnam Superintendent Race: Consolidation Committee Clashes With Candidate Kim Sang-kwon
Amidst the push for a pan-conservative Gyeongnam superintendent candidate consolidation, the steering committee urged Candidate Kim Sang-kwon's side to honor an agreement, but Kim's camp denied any such pact and pushed back.
Kim's camp proposed unification through public verification, including TV debates, by April 13. However, they stated they did not receive concrete implementation plans from Candidate Kwon's side and urged the presentation of a unification roadmap.
Currently, three candidates—Kwon Soon-ki, Kim Sang-kwon, and Kim Seung-oh—have been selected as potential unified candidates within the conservative and centrist factions. Discussions have stalled due to disagreements over the methodology for candidate consolidation.
