Jeong Myeong-geun Pledges to Develop Hwaseong into AI Industry Hub

Jeong Myeong-geun, a preliminary candidate for Hwaseong Special City Mayor from the Democratic Party of Korea, has presented pledges to foster Hwaseong as South Korea's Artificial Intelligence (AI) industry hub. Specific plans include the appointment of AI-related public officials, attracting an AI data center and a Google AI demonstration campus, and creating a citizen participation-driven 'Hwaseong AI Innovation Campus'.

Furthermore, the plan is to enhance administrative efficiency by introducing 'Koreabot,' an AI public official operating 24 hours a day, and to grow Hwaseong into a hub for AI industry exchange by expanding and reorganizing the 'Global AI EXPO MARS'.

Large-scale infrastructure attraction plans for building an AI industry foundation were also presented. Preliminary candidate Jeong Myeong-geun stated his goal to strengthen future competitiveness by pursuing the attraction of an AI data center and a Google AI demonstration campus, and by creating an AI-based aerospace industry cluster hub.

Preliminary candidate Jeong Myeong-geun said that Hwaseong is an optimized city for fostering the AI industry, and through AI industry and administrative innovation, he aims to make it a city where citizens grow as protagonists of the AI era and lead future technologies.
