People Power Party finalizes former Minister Park Min-sik as candidate for Busan Buk-gap
The People Power Party confirmed former Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs Park Min-sik as its final candidate for the Busan Buk-gap parliamentary by-election on the 5th. Park secured the nomination over former KBS reporter Lee Young-pung.
With the People Power Party's candidate confirmed, the Busan Buk-gap by-election will now be a three-way race between independent Han Dong-hoon, the former interim leader, and Ha Jeong-woo of the Democratic Party of Korea.
Regarding the possibility of an opposition bloc unification with former interim leader Han Dong-hoon, who is running as an independent, Park dismissed it as 'zero,' stating his intention to run in the election as the People Power Party's candidate.
