For Children's Day, elementary school students selected 'time spent with family' as the gift they most want to receive. This showed a significantly higher preference than toys or games.

According to a survey conducted by the Elementary Teachers' Union among 1,365 elementary students ahead of Children's Day on the 5th, 44.1% of respondents chose 'spending time with family, such as traveling or dining out' as the activity they most desire. This figure is higher than 'receiving a desired gift' (27.7%) or 'spending time with friends' (10.1%). 'Time spent with family' (28.2%) also ranked first for the gift students most want to receive, followed by 'digital devices' (25.3%) and 'pocket money or gift certificates' (23.1%) in second and third place, respectively.

When asked about their 'top wish for their family,' elementary students most frequently cited 'increasing time spent together' (39.7%). The primary condition for happiness was 'a harmonious family' (40%), followed by 'achieving dreams' (18.7%) and 'money' (11.9%).

The most common duration of family conversation time for elementary students per day was '30 minutes to 1 hour,' reported by 36.6%. When experiencing emotional difficulties, 'mother' was most often cited as the person they talk to.
