Kim Jong-in to Campaign in Hanam Election
Former interim leader of the People Power Party Kim Jong-in will step in to support the Hanam mayoral election as the campaign supporter chairman for candidate Lee Hyun-jae. Kim is scheduled to launch his activities by holding a campaign supporter committee inauguration ceremony in Hanam on the 7th.
The campaign office will hold its inauguration ceremony at 3 PM on the 7th at the Koa Building, 2nd floor, 13 Daecheong-ro, Hanam City. The event will be attended by individuals including Kim Jong-in, head of the campaign support committee, along with representatives from various demographics and regions, and citizens.
Lee Hyun-jae, the preliminary candidate, has recruited Kim Jong-in as his campaign supporter chairman, aiming to conduct a policy-focused campaign. Campaign spokesperson Cho Hyun-joon stated that Kim highly values Lee's efforts for Hanam's development and believes him to be the right person to lead Hanam's future, thus deciding to lend his support.
Kim Jong-in has been active in economic policy and party strategy. Local political circles analyze that his involvement will help expand the moderate voter base and add policy weight to Lee's election campaign. Born in 1940, Kim has served as a member of the National Assembly, interim leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, and interim leader of the People Power Party, and has overseen strategy in numerous elections.
