Police Investigate 20-Something Woman Over Baby's Death After Motel Birth

The Seoul Yangcheon Police are investigating a woman in her 20s, identified as A, on charges of child abuse and homicide after she allegedly caused her baby's death following a birth in a motel room.

A is suspected of giving birth to a child in a motel room in Yangcheon District this past February, and subsequently called 119 for assistance. However, the baby was reportedly already deceased upon the arrival of paramedics.

While A claims she was unaware of her pregnancy, police have confirmed prenatal medical records, leading them to investigate the circumstances surrounding the case. The investigation also includes questioning a man who was reportedly with A at the time.
