Seoul Mayoral Candidates Vie for Votes with Care and Real Estate Pledges
As the local elections draw near, Seoul mayoral candidates from the ruling and opposition parties are competitively announcing care pledges, coinciding with Parent's Day, drawing attention to who will present the optimal solutions for Seoul's future.
The People Power Party's candidate, Oh Se-hoon, pledged to provide in-home medical care services after hospital discharge and create neighborhood jobs for the elderly.
Addressing real estate issues, Oh criticized his opponent's policies as 'unscrupulous actions of claiming to be the originator while opening a new business,' and urged the withdrawal of current jeonse (lump-sum deposit) and monthly rent market policies, which he argued are being implemented in a 'seed-destroying' manner, after the election.
