Han Dong-hoon Announces Election Office Opening Ceremony Exclusively for Residents

Han Dong-hoon, an independent candidate in the by-election for Busan's Buk-gap constituency, announced that he would hold his election office opening ceremony on the 10th as 'a festival exclusively for local residents.' He requested supporters to refrain from visiting, stating, 'I will make it a local festival rather than a place to showcase power struggles in national politics unrelated to the region.'

In an interview with MBC Radio on the 8th, Han said it would be 'an event that solely focuses on and serves the residents of Buk-gap.'

Han added, 'The essence of an election is to help local residents prosper, not to show who among the lawmakers is attending.' He reiterated that the purpose of this election is to improve the lives of local residents. While this regional election might be significant in national politics, its core purpose is to benefit the local community, and the true protagonists are the citizens of Busan Buk-gap, he added.
