DPD Leader Kim Min-seok Revises Apology Letter Three Days After Shincheonji Apology Controversy
Democratic Party of Korea leader Kim Min-seok responded on November 5, three days after apologizing over allegations related to Shincheonji, by revising the wording of his apology letter as internal party strife intensified.
That same day, the Democratic Party moved the 'Prosecutorial Misconduct Special Counsel Act' (a bill to appoint a special counsel to investigate allegations of fabricated investigations by the prosecution, National Intelligence Service, Board of Audit and Inspection, and other agencies under the Yoon Suk-yeol government) to a plenary session of the National Assembly for a vote on the 6th, while the People Power Party responded by launching a filibuster (unlimited extended debate to delay the vote).
