A Taekwondo studio employee and her accomplice owner appeared in court for a detention review after attempting to murder the employee's husband with drugged alcohol. The 20s owner, identified as A, and the 40s employee, identified as B, attended the Incheon District Court's Bucheon Branch on the afternoon of the 9th for a pre-arrest warrant examination (detention hearing). Both remained silent when questioned by reporters, and their detention status was expected to be determined late in the afternoon.

Owner A and employee B are suspected of attempting to murder B's husband, identified as C, with drugged alcohol. The two allegedly placed a bottle of soju mixed with drugs in the refrigerator of a house in Wonmi-gu, Bucheon City, Gyeonggi Province, on the 25th of last month. The plan was reportedly to target C, who habitually drank alcohol alone, but C did not consume the drugged liquor.

Owner A was arrested at the scene on the 6th after allegedly stabbing C with a weapon at B's residence, causing injury. The attempted murder plot came to light during the police investigation following A's arrest as a suspect in a charge of special injury.

The police confirmed evidence of conspiracy to commit murder through text messages exchanged between A and B, leading to B's emergency arrest. Attempted murder charges were subsequently applied to both individuals. During police questioning, A stated that she had crushed 60 benzodiazepine pills into powder for the crime.

It was reported that C claimed his wife was psychologically dominated by owner A and that the owner orchestrated the murder attempt from behind the scenes.
