Heo Tae-jeong's Daejeon Mayoral Campaign Committee Officially Launched

Heo Tae-jeong, the Democratic Party's candidate for Daejeon mayor, launched his campaign committee (also referred to as the election committee or 'Seondaewi') on the 9th, entering the local election season in earnest, drawing attention to his future campaign strategies.

The campaign committee was initially formed with 1,174 members. Former National Assembly Speaker Park Byeong-seug took on the role of honorary committee chairman. Park Beom-kye, Cho Seung-rae, Yeom Hong-chul, and Kwon Seon-taek participated as standing committee chairmen.

Party Chairman Park Jeong-hyun emphasized that the Democratic Party would unite to ensure victory in the local elections. At the launch ceremony, candidate Heo Tae-jeong announced his aspirations, stating, 'We will run a campaign that only looks to citizens and their livelihoods,' and 'I will become a mayor who changes the lives of citizens.'
