Shin Se-kyung's Baeksang Film Best Supporting Actress Win Sparks Controversy
As the '62nd Baeksang Arts Awards' took place on the 8th, some opinions have been raised regarding Shin Se-kyung's selection as the winner for Best Supporting Actress in the film category. Shin Se-kyung was honored with the award for her role in the movie 'Humint.'
Her competitors in the category included Shin Hyun-been for 'Face,' Yum Hye-ran for 'Can't Be Helped,' Jang Hye-jin for 'Master of the World,' and Jeon Mi-do for 'The Man Who Lives With a King.'
During his acceptance speech for Best Supporting Actor, Lee Sung-min mentioned Yum Hye-ran. Director Park Chan-wook, who accepted the Best Picture award, also added, 'Yum Hye-ran may not agree, but please understand. Shin Se-kyung also did well.'
