People Power Party Forms Election Committee Under Jang Dong-hyeok's Sole Leadership

The People Power Party announced on the 12th, with 22 days remaining until the June 3 local elections and National Assembly by-elections, that it is forming a central election committee centered around Chairman Jang Dong-hyeok. This effectively signifies a one-man leadership system under Chairman Jang.

In a phone call with Yonhap News, a senior lawmaker from outside the Yeongnam region revealed that even the party's lawmakers were unaware of the election committee appointments, which include Chairman Jang Dong-hyeok taking the role of standing committee chairman.

The lawmaker added that with Chairman Jang taking the lead in managing the election, candidates might be reluctant to have him visit their regions as the election approaches.
