LG HelloVision Successfully Concludes Employee AI Hackathon

LG HelloVision has embarked on an AI Transformation (AX) organizational culture innovation by successfully completing its 'Internal AI Agent Hackathon,' where employees created their own AI colleagues. This initiative aims to accelerate the innovation of AI-driven work methods and spread an AI utilization culture throughout the organization.

Last month, LG HelloVision hosted the 'Internal AI Agent Hackathon' for a full month, offering employees the experience of creating their own AI colleagues. A total of 203 employees participated, showing significant interest. The hackathon's objective was to establish a foundation that allows employees to concentrate on core planning and strategic decision-making by having AI handle repetitive data organization and complex data analysis tasks.

Participants utilized generative AI to submit a final 83 tasks applicable to real work. Employees tested tasks that could be immediately utilized in their fields, such as deriving optimal sales routes, generating regional channel news articles, organizing fax data, and analyzing customer inquiries (VOC). As a result of the hackathon, 8 AI tasks deemed immediately applicable to practical work were selected as award winners. Among these, 'Insight Radar,' which summarizes demand fluctuations and marketing information for Hello Rental's direct mall, received the grand prize.

LG HelloVision plans to continuously promote organizational culture innovation centered on AI Transformation (AX) where employees collaborate with AI, thereby improving the company's structure around AX and securing sustainable future growth. Song Gu-yeong, CEO of LG HelloVision, stated that the hackathon would be an important opportunity for employees to become drivers of AI innovation. He added that the company would continue to strive for corporate structure improvement and future growth by supporting voluntary AI innovation.
