Gema: 30 Years Dedicated to Semiconductor Ultrapure Water Technology
Considering the increasing water consumption in the semiconductor industry and the related water and power challenges, as well as resource security, Gema is focusing its main efforts on reused water monitoring, striving to provide future-oriented solutions.
Gema excels in in-house technology development. Unlike many competitors who import and distribute overseas products, the company has continued its own technology development for 30 years based on its extensive experience.
In collaboration with Germany's DOC Labo, Gema is developing an 'LC-OCD-OND' analyzer, slated for release in the first half of 2027. This analyzer can monitor organic matter in water in real-time at the ppb level. The project was initiated through collaboration with the German manufacturer, based on Gema identifying and proposing solutions for the needs of Korean semiconductor clients.
Gema's primary clients include domestic and international global semiconductor companies, ultrapure water facility EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) firms, and government agencies. In particular, the company is pursuing joint technology development and equipment adoption with national agencies concerning reused water issues.
