Daechi Seonkyung Apartment Reconstruction Approved for Up to 49-Story Mega-Complex

The urban renewal plan for Daechi Seonkyung Apartment in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, has been finalized, paving the way for its rebirth as a mega-complex of up to 49 stories with 1,571 units. This plan approval signifies the transformation of the aging complex into a large-scale development.

Seoul City announced on the 14th that the 7th Urban Planning Committee's authorized subcommittee meeting approved the 'Daechi Seonkyung Apartment Reconstruction Urban Renewal Plan Decision' with amendments.

Daechi Seonkyung Apartment, built in 1983, will be reconstructed into a complex of up to 49 stories, totaling 1,571 units. Among these, 231 units will be supplied as public rental housing.

A cultural park will be created on the west side of the complex, integrated with the school route for students of Daechichuo Elementary School. Additionally, a flood control reservoir with a capacity of approximately 36,000 cubic meters will be installed underground. Seoul City expedited the approval of the construction plan through integrated deliberation.
