Oh Se-hoon, the People Power Party candidate for Seoul Mayor, and the Reform Party have joined forces to address real estate issues, with just two weeks remaining before the June 13 local elections. They criticized the current government's real estate policies, stating they make it difficult for young people to purchase homes and achieve housing stability. This is the first time the two sides have worked together and formed a common front since the local election campaign fully began, hinting at the possibility of effective electoral cooperation in the Seoul mayoral race.

During the discussion, candidate Oh stated that young people are giving up on their dream of homeownership due to the government's inconsistent real estate policies and rapidly changing interest rates. He criticized the government's failed real estate policies for exacerbating housing instability among youth. A Reform Party official added that the housing solutions proposed by the government lack effectiveness and are insufficient to significantly alleviate the actual burden of housing costs.

On the 16th, Oh Se-hoon, along with Reform Party leader Lee Jun-seok and Seoul City candidate Kim Jeong-cheol, held a field discussion on youth housing at a studio apartment in Gongneung-dong, Nowon-gu, Seoul.

Real estate has emerged as a nationwide issue ahead of the local elections. While the Democratic Party is also attempting to rally its supporters by announcing its own real estate policies, public distrust in the government and ruling party's real estate measures runs deep. The joint offensive by Oh and the Reform Party on real estate policy is seen as a strategy to court voters dissatisfied with the current government's real estate approach.
