Daechi Seonkyung Apartment Redevelopment Approved: Up to 49 Floors, 1,571 Units Planned

The redevelopment project for Daechi Seonkyung Apartment in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, has been confirmed to be built as a new apartment complex of up to 49 floors with a total of 1,571 units. Seoul City held the 7th Urban Planning Committee Special Division meeting on the 14th and passed the 'Daechi Seonkyung Apartment Redevelopment Plan Decision' with amendments. This plan is expected to bring about changes to the local residential environment.

Daechi Seonkyung Apartment, which was completed in 1983, will be redeveloped into a complex of up to 49 floors with a total of 1,571 units, of which 231 units will be supplied as public rental housing.

A cultural park will be created on the west side of the complex to secure a safe commute route for students of Daechi Elementary School. Beneath this cultural park, a retention basin of approximately 36,000 cubic meters will be installed to mitigate flood damage in the Daechi Station area during heavy rainfall.
