Cabinet Approves Law Requiring 15 Years of Public Healthcare Service for Doctors
A bill mandating doctors to serve in the public healthcare sector for 15 years after obtaining their licenses has passed the State Council.
This bill is a measure aimed at reducing regional healthcare disparities and securing medical personnel where they are needed.
Along with this, amendments to the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act, which restricts pharmacists and Korean medicine pharmacists to opening only one pharmacy, and the Cosmetics Act, which prohibits AI-generated fake experts from recommending drugs and cosmetics, were also approved.
