Presidential Approval Rating at 66% (-1%p), Down from 67%

According to a poll released by NBS on May 21, 2026, the approval rating for the current president's job performance stood at 66%. The disapproval rating was 24%. This represents a 1%p decrease in approval and a 1%p increase in disapproval compared to the previous survey.

Compared to the survey conducted on April 23, 2026, the presidential job performance approval rating fell from 69% to 66%, a decrease of 3%p, while the disapproval rating rose from 21% to 24%, an increase of 3%p. The approval rating has shown a downward trend for three consecutive surveys, and the disapproval rating has shown an upward trend for three consecutive surveys.

Party Support Ratings

In the party support poll, the Democratic Party of Korea garnered 45% support. The People Power Party recorded a 20% support rating.

This figure indicates a 1%p drop in support for the Democratic Party of Korea and a 2%p rise in support for the People Power Party compared to the previous survey (May 7, 2026).

When compared to the survey on April 23, 2026, the Democratic Party of Korea's support rating decreased by 3%p from 48% to 45%, while the People Power Party's support rating increased by 5%p from 15% to 20%.
