According to a Realmeter poll conducted from May 17 to 21, 2026, among 2,507 adults nationwide, the approval rating for the president's job performance stood at 59.3%. The disapproval rating was 36.1%. The margin of error for this survey was ±2%p at a 95% confidence level. (Conducted via wireless RDD automated response survey)

Presidential Job Performance Evaluation

The positive evaluation rate, indicating the president is 'doing a good job,' was 59.3%. The negative evaluation rate, stating the president is 'doing a poor job,' was recorded at 36.1%. The gap between positive and negative evaluations is 23.2%p.

Party Support Ratings

In the party support rate survey, the Democratic Party of Korea garnered the highest support at 47.5%. The People Power Party followed with 33.3%. The Cho Kuk Innovation Party secured 3.4% support, the Reform Party 3.2%, and the Progressive Party 2.3%.

Comparison with Previous Surveys

Compared to the survey conducted on May 11, the positive evaluation rate for the president's job performance decreased by 0.4%p from 59.7% to 59.3%. The negative evaluation rate rose by 0.4%p from 35.7% to 36.1%.

Regarding party support rates, the Democratic Party of Korea fell by 1.2%p from 48.7% to 47.5%. The People Power Party increased by 2.4%p from 30.9% to 33.3%. The Cho Kuk Innovation Party rose by 0.2%p from 3.2% to 3.4%. The Progressive Party increased by 0.1%p from 2.2% to 2.3%, while the Reform Party dropped by 0.3%p from 3.5% to 3.2%.

The negative evaluation has shown an upward trend for three consecutive periods, with the latest change being 1.1%p compared to the previous survey.
