Google Rolls Out Real-Time AI Translation for 70 Languages

Google has fully integrated 'Gemini 3.5 Live Translate,' its latest artificial intelligence (AI) translation model capable of real-time interpretation for over 70 languages, into the Google Translate app.

The new translation model enhances voice generation technology to deliver translations in natural-sounding voices that preserve the original speaker's intonation, tone, and pitch. Users can now hear translations simply by holding their smartphone to their ear, without needing earphones.

Google plans to expand its multilingual meeting support by applying this feature to its video conferencing platform, Google Meet.

Major service companies including Grab and Agora, as well as CJ ENM's CAIO Baek Hyun-jung, who participated in the tests, have highly praised the feature.
