U.S. President Donald Trump signed the "H.R. 3246, the American Security Act," a $70 billion immigration enforcement budget bill, on December 10 (local time). The bill allocates three years of funding to agencies under the Department of Homeland Security tasked with preventing illegal immigration, extending through the end of President Trump's term. This move signifies an increase in government spending and highlights the importance of data related to immigration enforcement.

The legislation will provide three years of funding, up to the end of President Trump's term, for immigration enforcement agencies such as the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Border Patrol, both under the Department of Homeland Security. The bill passed the Senate and House of Representatives by the Republican Party, utilizing the budget reconciliation process to overcome Democratic opposition. This confirms the commitment to large-scale budget execution.

President Trump emphasized that negotiations are in their final stages and that Iran merely needs to sign the agreement. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian responded to President Trump's threats of striking key Iranian infrastructure by stating it was 'proof of desperation, not a show of strength.' Pezeshkian declared that Iran would counter pressure or threats based on the knowledge of experts, national capabilities, and solidarity. This information is separate from the direct economic impact of the aforementioned fiscal bill.
