People Power Party Leadership Clashes Publicly Over Jang Dong-hyeok's Future

The People Power Party's Supreme Council engaged in a public dispute on the 15th regarding the position of Representative Jang Dong-hyeok. Supreme Council member Yang Hyang-ja proposed a total resignation of the leadership, calling the current leadership a 'zombie leadership,' while Supreme Council member Cho Kwang-han refuted these claims, referencing the arguments of a 'childish group.'

Representative Jang Dong-hyeok argued that expressions like 'zombie leadership' insult the public, and that calls for his resignation are an 'insult to the public and party members.'

Secretary-General Park Joon-tae pointed to reports stating that 'approval ratings hit a record high after the leadership's launch due to by-election issues.' He criticized this, saying, 'In a critical juncture, they turn a blind eye to public opinion and focus solely on shaking the party leader.'
