Superintendent Yoon Geon-young to Drive AI Education Focus in Second Term
Superintendent Yoon Geon-young's second term launches a preparatory committee for creative education in the AI era. About 130 pledges have been condensed into approximately 50 core tasks to formulate future education strategies. A 'Launch Preparatory Committee' of about 50 members officially begins its activities on June 18, presenting a new direction for Chungbuk education aimed at innovation in the AI era. The committee's objective goes beyond simply organizing pledges; it aims to integrate the latest technological trends relevant to the AI era into education.
Lee Jung-yong, chairman of the Launch Preparatory Committee, anticipates that the 'Practical Academic Public Education Responsibility System' will be a key focus. This initiative aims to detail how public education will take responsibility for not only foundational academic skills but also AI competency, career paths, and college admissions.
The preparatory committee will submit its findings to Superintendent Yoon by July 16, with the final deliverables to be published in a white paper. This process is focused on presenting a new, creative, and future-oriented direction for Chungbuk education that is suited for the AI era.
