KT has unveiled 'E2E Quantum Security' as its future network security strategy to cope with the proliferation of AI and quantum computing. At a special session of the Korea Institute of Communications and Information Sciences' Summer Conference held at the Haevichi Hotel & Resort in Jeju on the 19th, KT presented this concept through Jung Je-min, executive vice president of the Network AI Research Division, diagnosing the potential threats of AI-driven attack automation and quantum technology to cryptographic systems.

'E2E Quantum Security' proposed by KT aims to build an integrated protection framework that covers everything from data transmission segments to network equipment, cloud, and AI data centers. Based on this assessment, KT plans to establish an integrated protection system that spans data transmission segments, network equipment, cloud, and AI data centers.

KT has structured this strategy into three technological pillars: 'Quantum Link' (protecting data transmission segments), 'Quantum Node' (protecting network equipment operation segments), and 'Quantum Vault' (protecting the entire data lifecycle). KT's 'Quantum Link' is a technology that protects data transmission between customers and the communication network, while 'Quantum Node' protects network equipment and its operation segments. 'Quantum Vault' is a concept that protects the entire lifecycle of data, from creation to use and deletion. Through these three pillars, KT has established an integrated defense structure that connects the transmission network, equipment, and data domains into a single system.
