Solaseido AI Hub Project Hinges on Special Law's Passage

Solaseido in Haenam is gaining attention as an AI hub.

With a robust renewable energy base, including 98-megawatt solar power panels and a 20-million-square-meter site, Solaseido aims for the full operation of a national AI computing center by 2028. Solaseido has been planned as a hub to expand national AI infrastructure beyond the Seoul metropolitan area and create an RE100 industrial ecosystem.

However, delays in processing the special law necessary for the project's advancement are anticipated to cause disruptions. Haenam County Mayor Myung Hyeon-gwan expressed regret over the special law's delayed passage and stated efforts are underway to get it approved. Haenam County is urging for prompt processing of the special law, attracting attention from local governments and industries nationwide.
