South Korea, China Prime Ministers Meet in Dalian, Vow to Enhance Ties and Cooperation
South Korean Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum met with Chinese Premier Li Qiang in Dalian on May 23rd to discuss ways to improve bilateral relations and strengthen cooperation.
Regarding North Korea issues, Prime Minister Kim requested China's positive role in creating conditions for inter-Korean dialogue and U.S.-North Korea talks, appealing to the Chinese leadership, including President Xi Jinping.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Kim requested China's prompt dispatch of an investment survey team for the Saemangeum Industrial Complex, and both sides agreed to utilize the APEC event in Shenzhen in November as an opportunity for high-level exchanges.
Premier Li expressed agreement with Prime Minister Kim's overall remarks and showed a willingness for mutual cooperation.
