Jinhae-gu Launches Integrated Financial, Legal, and Welfare Support for Residents in Need

Jinhae District in Changwon Special City has taken its first step towards providing integrated support, allowing residents facing financial difficulties to access financial, legal, and welfare services all in one place.

Jinhae District has joined hands with the Gyeongnam Financial Welfare Counseling Center, the Changwon Branch of the Korea Legal Aid Corporation, and the Changwon Branch of the Credit Counseling & Recovery Service to establish a cooperative system that proactively identifies neighbors struggling with financial problems and provides them with necessary assistance swiftly.

Jinhae District Mayor Lee Jong-geun stated that through this agreement, the district will take responsibility for discovering and supporting financially vulnerable individuals. He added that the district will actively identify those in need, centering on administrative welfare centers, and develop a Gyeongnam-style financial and welfare safety net model to aid economic recovery through inter-agency cooperation.
