Trump Demands OpenAI Limit Release of New AI Model

According to anonymous sources, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman informed employees that the U.S. administration had requested the GPT-5.6 model be disclosed only to a select group of partners.

He urged them to cooperate with government officials' safety and regulatory concerns.

The U.S. administration previously restricted the use of AI models 'Mythos 5' and 'Fable 5' from OpenAI's competitor Anthropic, citing potential misuse for security attacks like hacking. Anthropic immediately halted operations for those models.
