The new products, developed in partnership with EssilorLuxottica, are released under Meta's own brand and offer consumers a wider range of design and style choices. Prices start at $299 (approximately 450,000 won). In collaboration with EssilorLuxottica, Meta has introduced smart glasses that consider technological features, wearability, design, and price competitiveness.

The new products are not display-focused but are equipped with cameras, open-ear speakers, microphones, and AI voice functions, focusing on their role as an everyday AI assistant. Users can activate Meta AI with their voice to ask for information about their surroundings or capture photos and videos.

Meta views these affordable products as an intermediate step towards popularizing AI glasses. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has identified smart glasses as a key device for the AI era. Meta has already secured a position in the smart glasses market, achieving millions of unit sales with products like the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses.
