SKT Targets Industrial Sites with Proprietary AI

Leveraging its proprietary AI technology and building on its success in the defense sector, SKT is expanding its business scope into manufacturing industrial sites.

To strengthen its competitiveness as an AI data company, SKT plans to establish a joint investment AI fund worth 760 billion won with NTT and Chunghwa Telecom, and build a global AI ecosystem. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang noted that SKT will play a pivotal role in building Korean-style AI factories.

Driven by growth in its AI data center business, SKT recorded positive performance with a profitability rebound in the first quarter of this year.
