Co-Chair Lee Chang-hoon Presents Korean Climate Policy in London

Lee Chang-hoon, co-chair of the Presidential Committee on Climate Crisis Response, attended the '2026 Climate Action Week' in London, UK, on the 29th to share the South Korean government's climate policies and discuss cooperation measures.

During the '2026 London Climate Action Week,' Lee was invited as the Republic of Korea's representative to a 'High-Level Reception on Tackling Short-Lived Climate Pollutants' hosted by the UK government on the 24th, where he discussed reducing short-lived greenhouse gases like methane and accelerating climate action.

During his visit, Lee held a series of bilateral meetings with the UK's Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, the Climate Change Committee, Canada's Climate Institute, South Africa's Climate Commission, and the European Union's Climate Change Advisory Scientific Committee to discuss specific cooperation plans.

The Climate Response Committee assessed that the event served as an opportunity to share the South Korean government's policies for addressing the climate crisis and achieving carbon neutrality with the international community, thereby strengthening partnerships.
