Canada's Mikaël Tremblay earns hundreds of dollars monthly selling AI-generated PDF learning materials on the online platform Etsy. Matt Absolom licenses his voice to an AI voice platform, generating about $3,000 a month. A survey by the investment platform 'dub' found that over half of Americans, and 60% of Gen Z, believe they cannot achieve their financial goals with their regular salaries alone. A Bankrate study revealed that one in four Americans engages in side hustles. Some companies have defrauded consumers out of millions of dollars through fake reviews and exaggerated advertising. Many invested in online courses or consulting promising high returns, only to achieve results far below expectations. Anna Lorman, following AI recommendations, created Spanish educational materials but earned only $250 in a year. AI had predicted $7,000 in earnings for the first year, but reality proved significantly different.

Analysis suggests that as profitable ideas become public, competition intensifies rapidly, and courses selling 'how to make money' often become more lucrative than the actual businesses. While AI-powered automated income generation is spreading across various methods such as personal asset rental and content creation, extreme caution is advised regarding advertisements or online courses that promise 'easy money.'
