U.S. President Donald Trump announced he would hold a meeting with Iran in Doha, the capital of Qatar, on the 30th. President Trump stated on his social media platform 'Truth Social' on the 29th local time that Iran had requested the meeting. On the U.S. side, former White House Senior Advisor Jared Kushner and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff are scheduled to travel to Doha for this high-level meeting.

However, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi claimed that no working-level meetings with the United States were scheduled for this week, and reports indicated that the actual realization of the meeting was uncertain.

Meanwhile, the United States and Iran engaged in clashes around the Strait of Hormuz over the weekend. After Iran attacked a commercial vessel, U.S. forces struck Iranian infrastructure, and Iran responded with retaliatory fire. Both sides agreed to cease mutual attacks.
