First Cohort Graduates from AI Practical Training Program

A practical training course designed to foster AI utilization skills and business innovation capabilities has successfully concluded, graduating its first cohort. The program saw participation from leaders across diverse fields, including former vice-ministerial level institution heads, university professors, corporate executives, and public officials, ranging in age from their late thirties to seventies. This outcome underscores the growing importance of AI as a crucial competency in all sectors.

The course emphasized hands-on application over theory, focusing on enhancing immediately usable skills through practical exercises integrating generative AI into work and management environments. Participants showed high engagement with modules on automating tasks using AI agents and creating video content with generative AI. Feedback highlighted the ability to 'complete tasks that previously took days in just tens of minutes.' Graduates earned the 'AI Business Maestro Level 1 Qualification Certificate' after passing practical evaluations.

Following the program's completion, requests to establish similar courses have poured in from across the country. Consequently, the first regional course is scheduled to launch in Jeju on July 25. This Jeju program will target leaders from businesses, public institutions, educational bodies, medical facilities, the media, and religious organizations, serving as a hub for nurturing AI talent in the region. Starting with Jeju, the International Future Society and the AI Global Education Institute plan to expand the program to major regions nationwide, building an educational platform for systematically cultivating AI-driven business innovation talent.

Ahn Jong-bae, President of the International Future Society, stated, 'Individuals who can create new value and results using AI will lead organizations and society.' He added, 'This course focused not on learning AI technology itself, but on nurturing business leaders who can achieve tangible results by leveraging AI.' The training is evaluated as a case demonstrating a shift in AI education from mere skill acquisition to a focus on organizational innovation and business performance generation. It serves as a reaffirmation that core competitiveness in the AI era lies not in possessing technology itself, but in the execution capabilities to create new value through its application. The first cohort has set a new direction for AI education, moving from 'learning about AI' to 'achieving results with AI.' As AI becomes a standard technology across industries, attention is focused on whether this program will establish itself as a professional training model that bridges practical application and management innovation.
