Lee Eon-ju, a Supreme Council member of the Democratic Party of Korea, has accused the party leadership of excluding her from assignments for the standing committee chair positions in the 22nd National Assembly's second half, calling it a "dividing spoils without me" and raising suspicions of "political revenge." On July 3rd, Lee argued on her Facebook page that the party's floor leadership discussed standing committee chair assignments without proper consultation with her. She stated that the decisions were made by excluding her, even though she had never served as a committee chair before.

Lee said she wanted to ask about the rational reasons or criteria for assigning committee chair positions to some individuals multiple times, but received no answers. She criticized this as an "unreasonable organization."

Lee mentioned that she represents the "New Lee Jae-myung" faction within the Democratic Party, advocating for centrists and conservatives, and added that she draws comfort and hope from the party members and supporters who stand with her.
